The MAS1 server, in a slim purpose-designed 1U chassis only 400mm deep, uses the Microbus MAT 915 single board computer (SBC) to deliver a unique combination of reliability, compactness, performance and affordability. Unusually in a system of this size, the MAS1 server provides 3 free PCI expansion slots, increasing the choice of configurations. For example, the server could have two ISDN Primary Rate voice cards, allowing processing of 60 speech channels and still leaving one spare PCI slot in the 1U space.The MAT 915 has a Pentium® III or Celeron™ processor, 10/100Mbs Ethernet, Chips™ 69000 or 69030 AGP video, Symbios® Ultra2 LVD SCSI, and standard PC functions.
