AMD K6-2 300 MHz Supported

The AMD K6-2 300 MHz is now supported on the MAT840 and the MAT842 processor cards.

The AMD K6-2 300MHz is a high performance processor based on the socket seven that was originally established for the Intel Pentium®processor. The cooling arrangements for the socket seven are well established and accepted in harsh environments. There have been mechanical questions on the suitability of other faster processors in harsh environments. The AMD K6-2 benefits from the established socket seven solutions and can offer a genuine performance increase.
