MAT915 - The new Flip-Chip Pentium®III processor adds power to the latest PICMG™ Single Board Computer

The MAT 915 PICMG™ processor card now supports the latest Flip-Chip PGA Pentium® III processors from Intel®, available in speeds from 500MHz to 750MHz.

Advanced design, including unique SCSI and ultra low profile options may make this the most highly integrated PICMG SBC on the market.

In addition the MAT 915 now supports Multimedia AGP video as well as flat panel and analogue video, Ethernet, SCSI and CompactFlashT disk. Its standard features include a parallel port, two serial ports, an infra-red port, keyboard, mouse, USB, IDE and floppy.

Support of the Multimedia AGP video allows dual independent display outputs, TV, flat panel or CRT, with video input and capture. Options include 8M or 16M video memory and PanelLinkT for digital flat panels. The video input channel supports composite or S-video input as NTSC or PAL, with a Sanyo decoder.

New processors have been integrated with the MAT 915 providing a choice from Flip-Chip PGA PIII running at up to 750MHz or the CeleronT 300MHz to 566 MHz. Thus the MAT 915 offers Pentium® III processor performance in mechanical packaging suited to OEM and embedded applications. With Microbus best effort boot and automatic recovery features and a customisable Award BIOS, this makes a true OEM platform available with the latest processors.

You can choose either Adaptec or Symbios SCSI, both offering the latest in Ultra2 LVD (low voltage differential) SCSI. converters to 50 way connections are also available.

Integrated CompactFlash™ gives transparent application support for most operating systems. At present standard CompactFlash™ cards are available in capacities up to 96MB. The CompactFlash card has a built-in ATA/IDE interface, so no extra drivers are needed.

The industry standard Intel 82259 Ethernet also makes the card easy to use with a wide range of operating systems. In general, the card uses the latest standard processor, video, SCSI and Ethernet controllers, (and the Intel BX AGPset) which makes it simple to configure in existing and new applications. Mechanically and electrically the card complies fully with the PICMG Compact PCI Specification 2.1
